Scott became an artist-in training with the Options in the Arts program in July of 2021. Scott is very committed to developing his artistic skills and works steadily with excellent concentration during lessons. He is so happy and focussed when painting that he says his thoughts do not wander.

Scott has attended special events beyond his regular classes. At the Paint Party with artist Mila Duric, he created a very attractive seascape in acrylic on a 16”x18” canvas. At another event, Scott tried his hand at cartoon sketching techniques with professional cartoonist Bruce Outridge.

Scott likes to use both cool and warm colours in his work, particularly blue, green, yellow and red. His favourite subjects in painting are landscape sunsets and butterflies.

The best compliment Scott could receive about his artwork would be an enthusiastic one such as, “Awesome picture!”
